CAMPS AND EXCURSIONS
Camps and excursions are seen as an integral part of the children's learning. Excursions are generally day activities related to specific curriculum studies whilst the camping program is sequential and developmental in its progressions.

LIBRARY
We have a fully automated Library that allows students to explore and use library resources. The Library Program aims to promote a love of reading in a happy and non-threatening environment as students read for recreation and learning purposes. A wide range of literature is read to them and they enjoy browsing and sharing books with classmates and teachers. Library sessions are planned to complement and support classroom reading, develop research skills and foster happy confident readers.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT
Sport and Physical Education Programs are an important part of our school curriculum. All Children from Prep to Grade 6 are involved in planned Physical Education sessions with their class. The Physical Education Program includes a variety of activities in the areas of ball skills and games, gymnastics, dance, athletics and aquatics.
All teachers are trained in Bluearth, a sport and movement program that promotes activity involvement and participation. The lessons include core movement skill development and games that develop children individually and as a team.

READING RECOVERY PROGRAM
This series of individual lessons is available to a child who, in grade one, is experiencing difficulty in his/her literacy skills and after applying the criteria according to that set down by Reading Recovery requirements, qualifies as an eligible candidate.
It is anticipated that through this series of daily, thirty minute sessions, the student's literacy level will be accelerated, so that after about twenty weeks, the student will resume normal, classsroom literacy lessons at the level of the average of the classroom.

NUMERACY & LITERACY SUPPORT PROGRAM
Numeracy - Children who have special needs in numeracy, as identified through classroom assessment and in consultation with classroom teacher and special education co-ordinator will be offered additional support.
Literacy - Children who have special needs in this area will be offered a range of additional support. After identification through classroom or additional assessment and consultation with the classroom teacher, special education co-ordinator or, where necessary, CEO consultants, an appropriate plan will be implemented.
